Episode summary
In this Christmas-themed episode, Sam and Dean follow the trail of an "anti-Santa" that abducts its victims by using their chimneys. Dean tries to get Sam to celebrate Christmas like they used to but Sam doesn't want to accept that it could be the last one they'll spend together.

Fun and viewer review
It might just be me, but I found the scenes in this episode to be the most disturbing ones since The Benders of the first season, maybe because the pagan gods are portrayed as humans, and quite creepily happy humans at that. The Christmas setting makes for an excellent bout of creepy horror-torture show, and the scenes that are meant to freak you out really work. Other than that it was nice to finally see a seasonal episode. The flashback worked well, the actors were excellent as per usual (the old couple was especially brilliant) and it flowed nicely. The level of angst amongst the boys was evened out pretty well, so it didn't drag out too much as has been a tendency in earlier episodes, imo.
